How the word Pencak Silat came from.

The word Pencak derives from the Madurese expression 'apengkarepeng laju aloncak' which means 'to move freely while jumping' whereas Silat comes from 'se amaen alat mancelat' meaning 'the practitioner jumps here and there like lightning'.
